Tour de Toon - Ride to Newcastle
Dan Thompson
My Story
As a lifelong Wire fan, having ridden the rollercoaster for circa 40 years, been a club sponsor for many years having sponsored some greats such as Kev Brown, Gaz Widdop, Chris Sandow and Richie Myler, couldn't resist the chance to make this epic ride from the legendary Hallwell Jones all the way to St James Park in Newcastle for our Magic Weekend fixture with Catalan on the weekend of the 9th-10th July.
Riding circa 200 miles, on a demanding route over 2 and a bit days.
As an endurance athlete, I thought it I it fair to add to the challenge so in addition, as part of my practice, I'll break my zwift record of 150 miles and ride 200 miles in my garage in one day. That guarantees a sore behind.
If you can sponsor me and help me support this amazing charity, I'd massively appreciate it.
Every pound that is donated will help the charity continue to change lives through sport. All of the riders have a personal connection to the Warrington Wolves Foundation and your kind gesture will help me continue to pedal through the pain!
